TOMORROW'S GAME: NEWTON 66 AWAY

We are at Newton 66 tomorrow for an U8 Argyle league fixture. Kick-off is at 10am, players on the pitch for 9.30am warm-up.

To find the pitch, go into Seale Hayne college and head for a gate on the left-hand side around 50 yards up the drive. Walk through that field, heading towards to bottom left-hand corner, and our pitch is in the field behind.

Manager Paul led by example today, making a substitute appearance for Buckland Athletic's third team in a cup match against Christians in Sport at Decoy.

Paul was thrown into action 20 minutes from time with Bucks 2-1 down, and turned the game with a stellar performance in attack.

After receiving a stern lecture from the referee by leaving a perfect set of studmarks on the Christians' right back's left ankle, he leapt like a tin of salmon to set up Bucks' third goal, which gave them the lead.

"I was brilliant," said Paul. "Somehow I slipped through the net, but I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen to any of the Under-8s. Like me, they can all go on to be international-standard players if they listen to me and train hard."
